Contaminación acústica y aprendizaje musical en estudiantes del Instituto Superior de Música

Abstract

The objective of the research is to determine to what extent noise pollution influences the musical learning of students of the Higher Institute of Music of Huanuco - 2015. The inductive-deductive method of explanatory correlational type was applied, because cause-effect relationships were analyzed, with a causal correlational cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 171 students and the sample consisted of 74 students. The data collection technique used was the survey; the instruments used were the questionnaire on noise pollution and the questionnaire on musical learning. The results reveal that there is an inverse correlation between noise pollution and musical learning; this relationship represents a - 0.997. The fact that it is a negative value proves that the higher the level of noise pollution, the lower the level of musical learning or the lower the level of noise pollution, the higher the level of musical learning.
